Lowering your blood level of cholesterol and fats with Lipitor may help to prevent heart disease, angina (chest pain), strokes, and heart attacks.

Zocor ® (Simvastatin) lowers overall blood cholesterol as well as blood LDL cholesterol levels. Zocor is indicated in addition to diet for patients with high cholesterol when diet changes and exercise are inadequate. But even though Zocor is a cholesterol-lowering prescription drug that inhibits the production of cholesterol by the liver, it has to be used with mandatory dietary changes to reduce the amount of cholesterol and certain fatty substances in your blood.
